Animal Welfare Coalition of Hampton Roads Membership
The purpose of the Animal Welfare Coalition of Hampton Roads is to improve the welfare of companion animals in
Hampton Roads. Membership in the Animal Welfare Coalition of Hampton Roads is open to any organization,
agency or individual interested in addressing the animal welfare issues that confront the Hampton Roads community.
If you
are a member of an animal rescue group, work for an animal control agency or simply help stray cats find a new home,
please come out and join us as we work to improve the state of animal welfare in Hampton Roads-we need your help and
look forward to hearing your point of view! Contact us for information about our next AWCHR meeting!
AWCHR Membership Benefits
If you have ever tried to help a companion animal, you know how frustrating it can be to find the right help at the right time.
By joining the AWCHR, you will be a part of the most comprehensive network of animal welfare advocates in the region.
AWCHR members take an active role in helping formulate policies, animal welfare legislation and helping create a more humane community in Hampton Roads
If your 501(c)(3) animal rescue group or animal shelter is a member of AWCHR, you will have an open-invitation* to attend one of our adoption events
held throughout the year to showcase your adoptable pets and to network with other animal lovers in your community. Contact us about joining the AWCHR!
*If attending an AWCHR adoption event, all adoptable pets must have up-to-date vaccinations.
